Luke Mason 18' Army took part in R.A.F Cosford's Epee open last Sunday. Bearing in mind he hasn't fenced that much due to phase 2 training with the Army,  he had a reasonable first round pool but won all his 2nd round bouts. He then worked his way through the D.E's to reach the semi finals coming home with a Bronze.

Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while, but Luke has joined the Army and has been busy with his duties and where he's based they don't have any fencing training.

Luke Mason 17' Army, took part in the British Army Championships on 4th April, he won all his pool matches gaining 6th seed position.

Luke Mason 16' from Weston College took part in the British Youth Fencing Championships in Sheffield this weekend.

He had an ok start in his pool winning 3 out of 5 bouts coming 24th seed.

Luke Mason, 16, from Weston College took part in a European cadet circuit fencing competition in December in Grenoble, France. He was up against some of the best cadets in the world.

Starting strong in the first round of pools he won four out of 6 bouts. The second round of pools was a lot harder winning 2, losing 3, these were literally by a point so could have gone either way.

Luke Mason 16' had an amazing weekend competing in the British Cadet and Junior championships in Nottingham.

Saturday was the cadet competition, he started well by winning 4 of his 5 pool matches, then winning all his direct elimination bouts to reach the final. This was a tense match with Luke down 3 points in the first minute, then a lot of doubles were scored, he got to the first break and had to change tactics.
