After a successful, but exhausting 5 day tournament in Viborg, Denmark at the beginning of August with The England Lions Under 16 Handball Team, my pre season training has been combined with working at 1610 Glastonbury Leisure Centre as an Activities Assistant.
I am also delighted to have secured a coveted place in The National Handball Academy for the next 2 years. I will attend bi monthly camps at Stoke Mandeville Sports Centre in Buckinghamshire in conjuction with Loughborough College to work with National coaches culminating in a trial for the GB under 18 squad.
This summer has been very busy with training and I have also qualified as a Level 1 Handball Coach and Referee. I am hoping to to put this to good use when I start college in September. I am very pleased to say that I passed all 10 GCSE's and will be studying Level 3 Sport at Strode College which I am looking forward to.
The first fixture of the season is 16th September and although my timetable will be very busy, I am excited about combining college studies and training and competing at a senior level.
Many thanks to TS5C for their generous starter grant which will assist my parents who are wholly responsible for my travel and accomodation arrangements.
