During this lockdown period I have been really taking the time to improve my aerobic capacity through lots of aerobic conditioning be it going out on long runs, or out on the bike.
I have also been working on my speed adaption twice a week, along with plenty of strength an conditioning sessions to help compensate for the lack of pool availability. However, I am quite looking forward to my pool arriving so that I can get more practice in the water focusing on being able o take this time to improve my technique and build up some more power.
I am also really hoping that the ban on sporting events is lifted soon s that I will have an opportunity to race this season with my key focus being Cardiff Sprint distance triathlon so that I can hopefully qualify for the U23 GB age group team for the world championships in 2021, like how I did last year.
On a non-sport related take I have also been spending time catching up on some of my notes and revising ready for my end of year exams that will be going onto my UCAS form in preparation for my university applications.
