TS5C Sponsored Athlete
The flagship fund has already benefited over 130 young athletes from Somerset in a variety of sports. TS5C sponsored athletes have already achieved significant results at both County and National level, and have competed for Team GB in international competitions.

I have just come back from my best race experience this year after competing in the National School Games Finals at Loughborough University.  The organisers had done loads to make it feel like an Olympic style event.

I stayed in an apartment on campus with the rest of my Southwest Team mates in a block dedicated to all the triathletes competing at the event, it was great to catch up with some of the friends I have made whilst competing in the British super-Series.  The triathlon events took place other 3 days with an aquathon on the Thursday followed by bikes skills and race on the Friday.  On Friday night they held an opening ceremony and we paraded as teams into the central square to watch a mini-concert and fireworks display before back to bed.  Saturday was my favourite day as each region team competed as a team in a relay style race.  The set up for this was great with blue carpet and shiny stands making it feel like a world class event, they even streamed the races live which allowed my family who did not come to watch the races happen.  We had a challenging but good race finishing 7th overall which we were pretty please with.

In a couple of weeks I race in my last big race of the year the British U20 Triathlon Festival at Mallory Park, before the training starts for next years racing.

Many thanks for your support it is really appreciated.
