TS5C Sponsored Athlete
The flagship fund has already benefited over 130 young athletes from Somerset in a variety of sports. TS5C sponsored athletes have already achieved significant results at both County and National level, and have competed for Team GB in international competitions.

It was a bit of a hectic day yesterday for Corey as the British Olympic Association officially announced the team selected to compete at the 2nd European Games in Minsk next month! There will be over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries who will compete across 10 days in 200 different medal events and Corey will be one of them!

He will be staying with the rest of the athletes in the Olympic Village along with 101 athletes across 11 sports to represent Team GB in Belarus of which 15 will be British gymnasts from across artistic, acrobatic, aerobic with Corey being selected as one of just two senior trampolinists!

He flies out on 21st June and will be part of the Opening Ceremony which we have managed to get tickets for on the Friday night held in the Dinamo National Olympic Stadium and will compete in the Men’s trampoline competition on Tuesday 25th June.

Minsk 2019 represents the last senior multi-sport event prior to next summer’s Olympic Games and will provide invaluable experience for the British athletes hoping to travel to Tokyo for the 2020 Olympic Games.

Then to top that he has also been selected to travel out to Tokyo as part of the Senior British Gymnastics team for an international training camp in July. Exciting times ahead!

You can also watch him on a CBBC series called Gymstars which was filmed last year following promising gymnasts whilst they train and compete. They introduce Corey at the beginning of episode 3 (series 2) which is available on BBC Iplayer.

Episode 12 which I think is available on iplayer 11th June then on CBBC on the 18th June features him training and competing at last years British Championships.
