TS5C Sponsored Athlete
The flagship fund has already benefited over 130 young athletes from Somerset in a variety of sports. TS5C sponsored athletes have already achieved significant results at both County and National level, and have competed for Team GB in international competitions.

Crispin Year 10 pupil Charlie Cook successfully gained entry to the GB Super Series after attending the selection weekend at Loughborough University.

Athletes in years 10 and 11 compete across the country achieving a final GB ranking at the end of the Series. Charlie has competed at Llanelli and Blenheim Palace with his best performance of 12th to date being achieved in scorching conditions at Olympic rowing venue Eton Dorney on Saturday.

A 400m lake swim saw Cook exit the water in a strong position coupled with a swift transition positioning him just behind the leading pack. A determined first bike leg in the 10k bike section meant Cook caught the leaders where he made his way to the middle of the large group of riders. A decent transition allowed Cook to overtake several rivals to come home after a strong 2.5k run in 12th place.

Cook will now make the long journey in 2 weeks time to race at Hetton Lyons.
