TS5C Sponsored Athlete
The flagship fund has already benefited over 130 young athletes from Somerset in a variety of sports. TS5C sponsored athletes have already achieved significant results at both County and National level, and have competed for Team GB in international competitions.

I have recently returned from a preparation series of meets in Monaco, Canet and Barcelona where I swam tough, in heavy training, amidst great international competition, all preparing for the upcoming World Championships in Gwangju South Korea at the end of July.

As part of Team GB, Cameron attended the European Championships held in Glasgow in August.

A really well supported event, on home soil, Cameron returned from Glasgow a Gold Medallist and European Champion, after he played his part in the Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay

Swimmer Cameron Kurle achieved two silver medals in the recent Commonwealth Games held in the Gold Coast in Australia competing for England.

He was part of the 4x100 Freestyle and 4x200 Freestyle relay teams.

Cameron recently competed in the British Swimming Championships in Edinburgh whilst in full training and therefore unrested. He had several really encouraging swims culminating in an excellent 2nd place and silver medal in the 200 metre Freestyle A final.

TS5C sponsored swimmer Cameron Kurle will be making his Team England debut later this year at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Cameron, a freestyle swimmer from Glastonbury, made his senior international debut competing in the 200m freestyle at the 2016 Olympic Games.

TS5C sponsored, Rio 2016 Olympian Cameron Kurle of Bath National Centre showed some great form to win the Men’s 200m Freestyle on day two of the Swim England National Winter Championships 2017.

He was the fourth fastest qualifier going into the final, but almost a fifth of a second faster then the rest of the field at the end of the race.

I hope you are very well and enjoying life. I just wanted to give you an update on what has happened this year and what i hope to achieve next year.

This year has been a difficult one for me with moving to bath and getting settled in. Its been my first time away from home and it has been tricky to get use to but i am enjoying it a lot.

Big congratulations to TS5C sponsored Cameron Kurle who competed in the Men's 200m Freestyle heats yesterday finishing 4th - what a great experience!
