TS5C Sponsored Athlete
The flagship fund has already benefited over 130 young athletes from Somerset in a variety of sports. TS5C sponsored athletes have already achieved significant results at both County and National level, and have competed for Team GB in international competitions.

It’s obviously an unusual and scary time for everyone at the moment. Just wanted to give you a little recap because of the dramatic changes to my plans for the future.

Firstly going back to last season it was clear from results in January through to early march I was in good and ready to compete at olympic trials and make my first olympics. However with the out break getting more and more severe it was only inevitable that pools will shut and ultimately everything will be cancelled, including the olympics.

As soon as I was aware of the news it was mixed emotions as I thought i was capable of qualifying this year however it gives me another year to come back fitter and stronger. In the mean time I’m doing various cardio exercises like spinning and running to keep fit and topping up with a gym programme tapered to my needs and the gym equipment available at home.

With a change to the schedule as severe as this I have decided to relocate to the national centre in Bath under coach Jol Fink. This was a natural move with me to train with athletes of similar age and like minded goals. Im excited by the move and think for the next four years I will be able to make senior teams and hopefully the next 2 Olympics with them now being 3 years apart.
