TS5C Sponsored Athlete
The flagship fund has already benefited over 130 young athletes from Somerset in a variety of sports. TS5C sponsored athletes have already achieved significant results at both County and National level, and have competed for Team GB in international competitions.

Aurelio Calipa is now ranked nationally: 6th as a Pentathlete - and 4th as a British fencer. 

He has just taken bronze at the British fencing nationals and silver in the British ranking championships. He will be going to the World  Cup Championships in Latvia in November 2019 with the GB team. 

Won the inaugural Laser-Run at Millfield School in September 2016 (U15B)

Bronze medal in the National Tetrathlon in September 2016 (U15B)

Team silver medal in Regional Biathlon,  and qualified for National Modern Biathlon and National Schools’ Biathlon in October (U15B)

This June at the British Modern Pentathlon Championships in Solihul, Aurelio achieved the highest Tetrathlon score in the U15 category.

Aurelio achieved a 5th place in the individuals and a Team Gold for the U14 in the Biathlon National Championships at Crystal Palace over he weekend.

At the start of march, Aurelio won a Silver medal at the South Series Triathlon No.2 in Croydon, and Gold at the Modern Triathlon Regionals

Aurelio has started to compete in both National Tetrathlon and Pentathlon meets.

In November at The National Biathlon in Solihul, he was part of the team that got a Gold.

He's ranking 7th Nationally in the under 15 for Pentathlon/Tetrathlon.

Biathlete Aurelio has had a busy year. He has been selected by ASA to attend the Regional England Development Camps for 2014/2015, and was awarded Swimmer of the Year at Millfield School (Year 7). His other achievements include:

  • Gold at National finals Biathle Comp in Salford 2014
  • Gold Biathlon Regionals at Millfield oct.2014
  • Team Gold at World Biathle Championships Guatemala
  • 4th individual World Champtionships Guatemala
  • 4th place at European Championships - Setubal Portugal.

TS5C's aim is to make a difference to people's lives in Somerset - be it in providing funding for trim trails, disability swimming events, up and coming athletes or community projects like wheelchair basketball.
