I was awarded Most Improved Player for the whole SGS basketball academy at the end of season awards. My club Bristol Flyers came top of the league last season winning every game bar one by one point, and we made it to the quarter-finals of the playoffs.
I made the move to Bristol last August to stay with a host family, start training with Bristol Flyers and get ready for college at the beginning of September.
Callum started playing Basketball with Taunton Tigers in September 2011 after he was encouraged to try out for the team after representing Huish Academy at an Inter Schools Tournament at Millfield.
The tournament provides these U17 players with a great opportunity to gain international experience against a variety of teams. They will come up against one of the home nations Scotland and also Sweden are travelling over to compete in the 3 day tournament in Dunfermline. Not only do the players get the ideal opportunity to showcase their skills, the coaches present will be observed by a Basketball England assessor to assist with coaching development.
