After winning the British and nation championships this year, I have been back to work and training hard for the coming season (which started 2 weekends ago in Manchester indoor) and I have made the decision to step up this year to the elite men class to keep progressing.
A few weekends prior to the 1st national, I went for a training camp in Holland and the weekend just gone, I was training back in Manchester preparing for the UCI World Cup supercross. I have also changed teams and bikes and sponsors this year! So I am now on teh Ultimate BMX Team and riding for Yess Bicycles. As well as racing some of the world cup stops this year, I am also racing the full European series in my 2nd and final year of junior men.
I have been training 2 times a day and really pushing it when I am training.
The next race for me is the first European race of the season which is in Zolder, Belgium.
How did you first get involved in your sport?
I first got involved in bmx racing when me and my family was away camping in cheddar, I went to the bmx track they had on the camp site and had a little go and we found out about a race the same weekend on at Burnham on sea (which is my current club) and we went along to watch, and I was hooked from there.
Just to let you all know I have won the past 2 national rounds ! And now getting ready for the British championship at Cyclopark Kent!!!
TS5C Sponsored Liam Brown came first in round 6 of the British BMX Series Races at Derby on 5th July. It was his first ever win in the Men's Championship Series - Well Done Liam!!
"I made semi finals at the European round 9&10 in Birmingham in junior men !
I am now traveling up to derby the the national this weekend. We then travel to Manchester, and fly to Copenhagen and then travel to roskilde for round
11 of the European series, and the European championships ! "
