TS5C Sponsored Athlete
The flagship fund has already benefited over 130 young athletes from Somerset in a variety of sports. TS5C sponsored athletes have already achieved significant results at both County and National level, and have competed for Team GB in international competitions.

TS5C's latest recruit is cyclist Elliot Redfern.

He started cycling competitively in 2013 and quickly developed a passion for it, and it soon became his ambition to become a top level, professional cyclist.

He has just completed his final year as a junior cyclist, in which he rode for the HMT Cycling with JLT Condor team.  During this season he finished 4th in the British National Road Championships and had the opportunity to compete in many International UCI races -  Belgium, Poland, Germany, Spain and France - racing against some exceptionally strong European riders, and regularly finishing in the top 20% in a field of over 200 riders.

However, his best results were 1st in Stage 2 of the Tour of Pamplona, in the Basque Country, Northern Spain and 5th in the last race of the season, the Philippe Gilbert Classic, in Belgium.

Next season will be his first as an U23 rider and he will be competing with a Spanish team, Eiser Hirumet, for a period of six months, as he particularly likes hilly races, and Northern Spain have quite a few of these!!

Our Goal

TS5C's aim is to make a difference to people's lives in Somerset - be it in providing funding for trim trails, disability swimming events, up and coming athletes or community projects like wheelchair basketball.

We exist solely on donations from individuals, businesses and small foundations. If you would like to support our efforts, please contact us directly.
